In 1977 Dave Pusey started working by himself and within various informal partnerships as a builder and re-modeler. In 1978 Fred Raffensperger joined Dave as an employee, and immediately found that they had the unique ability to compliment each others’ strengths and weaknesses. In 1984 Dave and Fred formalized their partnership, and in 1986 they became the principle share holders of Pusey & Raffensperger Builders, Incorporated.
From the inception of their company Dave and Fed have been committed to high building standards and fair business practices. With gradual and controlled growth Pusey & Raffensperger Builders have been able to maintain those high standards while increasing its capacity to service its customer.
Dave Pusey is originally from Avondale Pennsylvania where his father was the general manger of a local lumber yard. Dave first came to Lancaster to attend college and in 1968 he graduated from Millersville State College with a degree in Industrial Arts Education. He taught drafting and wood working in the public school system for approximately 5 years before following his passion of becoming a home builder.
Dave believes strongly that the residents of a community should, if possible, be involved in the governance of that community. To that end, Dave served on the Warwick Township Planning Commission for several years and is currently serving his 2nd term as a member of the Warwick School Board. Members of the board are required to also sit on 2 additional boards during their tenure. He currently enjoys sitting on the board of the Career and Technology Center and the Warwick Building and Grounds committee.
In his spare time, Dave enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. He has traveled extensively throughout the US and recently enjoyed a trip to Europe
Fred is a native to Lancaster County, growing up in the Ephrata area and graduating from Ephrata High School and Brownstown Vocational Technical School in 1977. Fred is a self made construction superintendent who first became interested in construction through his family’s agricultural business. Fred’s wealth of real world construction expertise allows him to direct every phase of a project with the confidence that only experience provides.
Fred is active in the community as a member of the Rapho Township Planning Commission, and attends Grace Brethren Church of Lititz where he volunteers as a Sunday school teacher.
In his spare time, Fred enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on the Manheim Central Barons and Penn State Nittany Lions football teams.
