1. Thorough Diagnosis

PR Builders uses State-Of-The-Art Diagnostic Tools to test your home’s energy efficiency from top to bottom. An energy audit can last 2-4 hours depending on the size of your home and your home improvement goals. During the energy audit, we’ll use an infrared camera to see behind your walls and identify gaps in your insulation and a blower door test to find air leaks.

2. Written Report

The energy audit and tests reveal whether or not your home is performing as it should. We’ll use results of the tests to create a Customized Written Report detailing:

• What was found
• How we will fix it
• How much the improvements will cost and a cost-benefit analysis of energy efficiency strategies to help you make informed decisions
• How much money you can anticipate saving after the improvements are made

3. Quality Assurance

After the Improvements are made we test the house again to ensure any home improvements or new equipment was installed correctly and the entire home is performing safely and as predicted.

 

4. Common Recommendations

Typically a home will have energy savings of between 10 and 40% We’ll develop a personalized plan for your home, but we’ll focus in on these types of recommendations:

• Sealing air leaks and adding insulation
• Improving heating and cooling systems
• Sealing ductwork
• Upgrading lighting and appliances to energy efficient models
